Project "Bulgarian-Serbian Innovative Teaching Network" is implemented by the Free Youth Centre - Vidin, Bulgaria in partnership with the Open Club - Nis, Serbia in the border area covered by the Bulgarian side districts of Vidin, Montana, Sofia region, Pernik and Kyustendil and the Serbian - counties Bor, Zajecar, Nishava, Pirot, Yablanitsa and Ptsinya.

The overal objective of the project "Bulgarian - Serbian Innovative Teaching Network" (BSITNET) is encouraging the cooperation in modernization of education to contribute to integration and socio-economical development in Bulgaria-Serbia cross-border region.

The specific objectivs of the project are:: To consolidate motivated professionals in education from both countries trough creation of a sustainable cross-border network; To create supporting environment for cooperation and development of secondary education trough exchange of best practices and innovations in teaching and education; To encourage contacts between professionals in education and educational structures from both sides of the border.

In hotel "Neptune" - Vidin , Bulgaria took place the Conclusion forumof the project BSIT.NET. It was attended by 30 teachers from Bulgaria and Serbia. One of the results of the meeting and the project is creation of a joint organization "Regional Network for Innovative Education", which will work for educational cooperation in the future.

In the hotel "Skalite" Belogradchik, Bulgaria was held training in NGO development with educational experts from both countries. The lecturers acquainted the participants to process of strategic planning, project work, public relations and the use of methods such as advocacy in work in the civilian sector. The course aims to prepare specialists for the new cross border educational association, which will be established in the spring of 2014

In Sokobanja, Serbia was held the last of the thematic forums on project BSIT.NET. It was attended by 20 teachers from Bulgaria and Serbia. The hosts surprised the participants with a discussion on education with high school students.

In Nis, Serbia held a team meeting of the "Bulgarian-Serbian Innovative Teaching Network." The meeting was attended by the project manager, coordinators for both countries the accountiant and the head of the project partner Open Club, which was also the host of the event. It was reported that the project activities are implemented on time and were planned months ahead.
