Clubs on Disaster and Accident at High School Ivan Vazov in Varshets took part in the Disaster Relief - Power, Generosity and Leadership Initiative as part of the National Program "Learn to Donate". Young volunteers explore issues related to natural disasters and actions in helping victims such as first aid, collecting things, and volunteer work in crisis situations.

11.05.2018 The students of First Primary School "St. St. Kiril and Metodiy "- Montana ranked first in the regional stage of the student competition" Protection against fires, disasters and emergencies ". The competition was held at the Center for Vocational Qualification.
All participants showed their theoretical knowledge of correct behavior in fire, disasters and emergencies.
In practical games, contestants placed gas, pressurized rooms and food products. The pupils demonstrated the speed and the right response to earthquake, flood and fire actions.

 27.04.2018 A regional competition "Disaster, Fire and Emergency Protection" was held in Vidin. The competition was attended by 28 students from 7 school clubs in the area. The competition passed in two stages: Theoretical part - solving a test; Practical part - checking pupils' skills for action in various disasters - earthquake, flood, use of individual means of protection, sealing of premises, protection of food from radiation, fire and first aid.

The winner is the club of the St. St. Cyril and Methodius school - Vidin.

25-26.01.2018 in Craiova at the.to the headquarters of the County Centre for Resources and Educational Assistance Dolj (CJRAE Dolj) took place a training for the Psychologists and school counsellor teachers in schools from Dolj County. The purpose of the training was to prepare these specialists to become a support of the potential victims of disaster events.

 

07-08.12.2017 IIn Craiova, Romania took place the closing event under the project "Safe Schools Network" - the conclusion forum. It collected 40 participants from education and disaster protection, trainers, volunteer club leaders and experts form Bulgaria and Romania. The aim of the forum was to report results, achievements and lessons learned, to evaluate, disseminate and plan the future of the network. 

04 - 08.10.2017. In Medicius Hotel, Vurshets was held a camp for the winners of the national competitions for protection against disasters and accidents from Bulgaria and Romania under the project "Safe Schools Network". Camp programme included interactive youth leadership and volunteer training, as well as an international BAC competition.

Between 21 to 23 September 2017, Vasiliada Asociation implemented the National Competition from the project in Rojiste, Dolj County. 30 Volunteers from 10 schools from Dolj County accompanied by their clubs leaders participated in theoretical and practical exercises to verify their Knowledge and abilities in managing crises situation as a disaster, accidents, catastrophes.

29.05.2017 - 14.06.2017 - A member of project team participated at monitoring vists on the 20 Volunteer Clubs form the 10 schools involved din the project.

During the vists was observed the motivation of the young volunteers to learn information about the disasters situation  The students demonstrated real qualities in practical abilities on first aid and other thems.

 They received equipments for practical exercises and also for preparing the national competitions.

12-14 February - It took place in Rojiste, Dolj County, the first training of 20 teachers that will became a methodical resourse for the schools involved in the project. They had learnt haw to prepare methodologies in schools to reacte in case of desaster.
